CHICKEN COOP-linocut series

The series presented, is nine works illustrating the circle of life of a chicken coop.
The illustration was inspired by journalist Bill Moyers' interview with anthropologist Joseph Campell.
The thesis presented in the interview about the change in human thinking from cyclical to linear led me to translate
it into visual language.

Because of progress, it is difficult for us to look at the world the way our ancestors looked at it. However, in many ways we are dependent on the cyclical rhythm of life.

What came first "the egg or the hen?", a simple question, I very quickly associated with the ongoing discussion in the interview.

The result was a vision of a chicken coop.

The exhibition in form is meant to remind the viewer of a window through which the illustrated chicken coop is "peeping".

In addition to the mechanical process of grinding the matrix, the series was made traditionally - by hand. From calcing, to cutting, to making the print.
